Better Than “Real” Brownies
Yes, sometimes even I need a brownie. These are so great and they are made with garbanzo beans! This means that you are getting protein in our brownie - what could be better? Makes 8-10 Brownies

1 ½ cups Grain sweetened chocolate chips (try 70% cacao if you like dark chocolate)
1 cup Garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
4 Eggs
1 cup Agave nectar or another lower glycemic sweetener (try Yacon syrup or Coconut Nectar)
½ tsp Baking powder
Nuts – walnuts, pecans (optional)
Dried cranberries or cherries (optional)

Melt chocolate in a sauce pan by simmering low until melted

In blender or food processor, combine beans and eggs

Add sweetener, baking powder and melted chocolate – blend until smooth

Pour batter into a sprayed 9x9 pan

Sprinkle nuts and berries on top if using and stir in pan

Bake at 350 for 45 mins

Allow to cool and enjoy
